Amy Slater is the magic behind Deciens, making everything run smoothly with her knack for organizing chaos and executing with precision. From technology to events to overall marketing strategy, she’s the driving force ensuring that every piece fits perfectly together. Her unique career spans organization and system development, marketing, and event management, bringing a dynamic blend of creativity and efficiency to everything she touches.

Before Deciens, Amy ran operations at the funeral startup Parting Stone and the business accelerator Creative Startups. Her career before the startup world was anything but typical – she’s managed art galleries, worked backstage with opera companies, and pulled off massive events, including hosting elaborate parties for 1,700+ guests at Diner en Blanc Albuquerque.

Amy holds an MBA from the University of New Mexico and a BFA in technical theater from the University of Memphis.

When she’s not driving operations at Deciens, Amy enjoys tackling house construction projects, hiking with her overly energetic dog, and swimming. She’s based in Albuquerque, where she brings a mix of organization and creativity to both work and life.
