Daniel Kimerling

Dan is passionate about leading investments in transformative companies at their earliest stages, and sits on the board of many Deciens portfolio companies including Chipper, GlacierGrid, and Treasury Prime.
Prior to founding Deciens, Dan co-founded Standard Treasury and served as its CEO until its acquisition by Silicon Valley Bank. Standard Treasury built leading API solutions for the global financial services community and was backed by YCombinator, Andreessen Horowitz, and Index Ventures. Standard Treasury was named one of the "Ten Technology Companies to Watch” by American Banker and "Global Innovator of the Year" by SWIFT. After its acquisition, Dan became responsible for API Banking, Open Platform, and Global Research at SVB. Earlier in his career, he was an analyst at TechCrunch where he helped launch their conference business.
Dan graduated from the University of Chicago with an A.B. and A.M. (both with honors) and studied mathematical (analytic) finance at the Booth School of Business for a year as a Booth Scholar. While at the University of Chicago, he won numerous awards, including the Howell Murray Alumni Association Award and Margaret C. Annan Undergraduate Award in Writing.
Dan was named to Forbes’ "30 under 30," is a Kauffman Fellow, was recently named to the Milken Institute’s Young Leader Circle, is a member of the University of Chicago's Polsky Council, and is active in the Young Presidents’ Organization.
He lives with his wife and their dogs in Chicago and Albuquerque, where he enjoys reading, cooking, biking, and skiing.
